Flashback prices: Bimmer Parts 1984

I was in 12th grade 2/84 and driving this66 Sunroof VW. Nothing like bald snow tires to kick the rear end out on an old car. Yeee-Haa! The only thing I could afford to buy for it was a "Thunderbird" header with glass-pack muffler.

Edit: I also got (1) new running board. The left side didn't even have one at the time. Notice the rear-end kind of "jacked up". The rear torsion bars were so weak I had to pull up the rear of the car at both fenders to make it more presentable in the picture. Still 6V with stock AM radio at this point.

I cant remember 25 years ago but Im told I had fun

Not quite the reaction I was thinking about when I posted this, but you get points for creativity.

Wish I could have a couple of those new gas tanks.

My ride in 1984 was the red Sting-Ray. Still got it too. :)
