Can you tow with an 80's 535?

The only tow hitches I can find are the 2000 pound kind. Little wimpy if I were to ever tow my 2002. I mean, that's the only way it would ever go anywhere.

I towed my 74 a long time ago with my 83 533i 5 speed. It did Ok traveling from NJ to Tenn. I took it easy and the car did not seem to mind. Not sure what type of tow hitch I had since it was on the car when I bought it.

Buy Pauls 745i turbo and pick up the spare low mileage cylinder head and turbo that have been stored in my basement since 1985....

Well,

I went to look at an 87 Dinan 535is today. I'm sure it would pull a house. However, the problem is the availability of a good hitch.

What do you guys think?

What does the 2002 world think something like this is worth? Everything on it works except the AC. I wish he hadn't flipped the manifold and made it a top mount. Non water cooled center section turbo too.
