good luck fitting anything in those cup holders other than a can of coke, ha ha... anything larger than that you have to wedge in the center console by the e'brake so it can spill all over the ipod when it's plugged in! i'll never understand how germany can manufacture such unbelievable automobiles, but can't make a halfway decent cup holder...guess it's a lazy american thing.

They don't engineer cup holders because the cars are to be driven, not ate and drank in...HA!

I've got a Golf '02 that wouldn't take much to be drivable...just needs a good tune-up & safety equipment gone over. Been sitting in the garage since i bought it and I have not started the parting process yet. I believe you know this car?

tempting mark...very tempting....unfortunately, this car is my daily driver, so it's gotta be something that i can get up and running right away...no time for a project. have you looked into what it would cost to get those shock towers fixed properly?

No, I was most concerned with getting it running before I did anything else with it, then I decided I wanted a car I could drive in lieu of a project.

We'll see how it is when I tear the whole car apart to make room in the garage before winter hits. If it's salvageable it may get saved from the crusher.
