Gold plated tii fuel pumps?!

Poking around realoem tonight. The current pricing for a tii fuel pump is now $1,227.28!!! And another $200 for the expansion tank, of course!

NEVER believe RealOEM prices. For a better gauge of $$$ check out Max's site.

He has them for $806.91 and $140.20 for the expansion tank.

but it's such a good resource to find the part and then go shopping. If you are in the market for a pump, consider Sherman's offer; those expansion jars are a great bonus. Walloth & Nesch no longer has tii fuel pumps. I tried there...

Now I'm going with Bill William's E30 in-tank pump setup. Hopefully, I'll have it installed by this weekend.

... is the Bosch GFP-251 pump. As I recall, it has a slightly different electrical connector but installs without mods. When available, it's cheaper than the BMW part.

There's no reason to replace the expansion jar unless yours is rusted through or broken. It's just a steel tank.

I'm thinking of using the 530i fuel pump which is a little smaller in diameter. Looking thru RealOEM, it appears the 530i fuel pump, canister and mounting bracket assembly could possibly replace everything under the tii floor.

The Bosch fuel pump for an injected air cooled Beetle is very costly, but nowhere as expensive as the tii.

If it's just to keep a tii going, why not use a generic fi fuel pump? One for a Ford F150 will supply plenty of fuel and costs like 65 bucks.

I know originality is important but I don't know as far as a fuel pump go's
