bmw + bicycle

so if you've seen my post on the project blog i've recently come into ownership of a 1972 BMW 2002. I love cars and all, but i'm a big bicycle enthusiast so i'm sure that i'm going to have some method of carrying a bicycle on my BMW esp for if im driving down to somewhere i'd use it. I mostly ride beach cruisers and have 4 or 5 that are in pretty good condition and some more that i could rebuild if need be. I want to be able to put my bike on there and have the BMW and the bicycle look good together, like they were meant to be. any suggestions to older bicycles any readers may have seen that would look good beside my bimmer? currently my BMW is white however i dont have any pictures yet. i'll have some this weekend. (i can repaint a bicycle to match, but im focused on the style of the bicycle) I've already done this once before with my '73 super beatle. it's yellow and has a very round shaped yellow beach cruiser that looks like the two were made to be beside each other. Again, it's not something im going to do soon, but it's something i'm interested in doing and want some good ideas before i move on

Your bike is awesome. Very cool!

I happened across one of the Phat bikes in an Indpls. bicycle shop. Besides the cool design, the paint was flat and I thought that the finish fit the style of the bike really well. Going to be in Chester (Richmond) in the very near future to meet a grand daughter.. leaving for VA as soon as she's born.

Oh, that's too funny. We'll be in either a black E34 530i (1995), or silver E28 328i (1997). Where is a good place to ride a road bike around the area? The roads (Happy Hill Rd., etc.) that I use are winding and fairly well travelled by folks driving above the speed limit (go figure).

Weld up a couple of Yakima rails and go long on the roof of the '02.

Me I'm kinda partial to my Sting-Rays. I've had them both since I was around 8 years old. I paid $15 for the red '72 Deluxe 3spd and $25 for the blue '69 5spd Fastback.
