Now you have looked you are in trouble, this is a once in a lifetime chance to own a prestigious sports saloon car, a piece of British automotive history.

No its not a Morgan, Austin Healey, Triumph, MG, Sunbeam, Jaguar, Jensen or Lotus, Alfa or Bmw, its a Rover P6.

These spectacular engineering marvels were built for 17 years and shipped to all the Commonwealth countries so they could desperately suffer, like the British did in the second world war (the sequel), only a few of these technoligical marvels made it stateside, but a lot went to Canada and Australia mate.

The British did try to make it palitable to the US market by fitting a crummy Buick Aluminuim V8 in later models, that the British got for cheap from the yanks, as it was past its sell by date.

These cars were designed to have a jet turbine warp drive and 5 were built, but a shortage of Dilithium crystals forced them to switch to a more advanced 4 cylinder engine with twin SU carbs, high compression head and headers, chrome steel wheels, bullet racing mirror and rev counter.

It has 4 wheel disc brakes, De dion tube rear suspension and Mcpherson struts, easy no power radically advanced 4th dimension steering.

The safety features are a central steel shell with all panels bolted on with a couple of depleted Uranium bolts, aluminium hood and trunk, and engine mounts that allow the eng and trans to go under the car on front impact (therefore slamming into the car behind instead) (this clever ploy was used succesfully on British tanks in the second world war, shocking the Bosch into surrender), 3 point B17 seat belts, no steering shaft, Proton torpedos and fully encompasing, grade 9 force fields. Not to mention the famous ice alert, which could be used to detect incomming snowballs with a little adjustment.

I have rebuilt the huge SU Carbs and installed a new NOS Aluminium manifold, replaced the waterpump twice for fun, bled the brakes and clutch 3 times, replace the clutch slave and master, gear shift lever and bushings and the brake master, fitted a thermostatically control cooling fan in case of thermo nuclear attack and fitted new hoses, wires, distributor cap, plugs, radiator cap and Bondo'd a leak in the brass top tank.

The interior leather has hardened, the drivers seat bottom is rough and so is the front drivers seat! The post modernist dashboard is a shelf with instrument boxes placed stratigically on it.

I have just completed the formidable California Melee in this excellent running vehicle, driving 900 miles plus, with no wipers. as the do not work, but everything else does.

This car drives like a top and will easily spin in circles.

And in closing all five tires are new and kickable.

Call me on 925 935 9352, Peter

I would be willing to trade this car for a rust free, pre 1967, Maserati or Iso plus cash!
