have you called your local glass companies...i recently bought one locally from one of several shops that had them available for about $100.00...

shipping a windshield is a risky proposition

The few I found when I first started looking were around 225, but after your message I called a few more and did find one for 104, I think the others just didn't want to sell w/o installation. I am still going to wait for some local responses and go for the original if possible.

Im not looking to tell you not to do it, But I uses to work for a glass company. Be careful on the cheap glass, poor quality control and at times the shape isnt right. With that said I havent ever seen an aftermarket 02 shield, But I have seen other BMW/Mini, not always the best way to go.
