1972 BMW 2002 in Madison WI $500 Make an offer!

I thought someone might want this car for a restore or maybe to turn it into a race car. It is a 1972 BMW 2002 with clear WI title. As noted in the pics, it is solid underneath and in the shock towers. The rockers and rear wheel arches need some work. I have some fenders that will be included with the car that are in fair shape.

It runs poorly as it has been sitting for twenty years with little driving. The brakes are in need of replacement as well because the car sat for so long. The engine bay is very clean, but I noticed that it has a leak coming from the front mail seal area the last time I had it running. It has a Weber carb with adapter plate so you can use the stock air intake. I was also told it had a "hot" distributor.

As far as the interior it has the wrong style guage cluster installed for the year, but I could swap that out if someone wanted. It has a black back seat, and is currectly without front seats.

Note that the "new" trunk lid will be removed and another one in decent condition will be installed. This needs to be gone in a couple of weeks or I'll have to ebay it.
