1976 Chamonix/Navy - Cincinnati OH

TimS

Recommended Posts

Chamonix with Navy interior and sunroof. California emmisions car (completely removed), 4 speed manual. Shipped to Ohio in 2005 from Sacramento CA. Selling for many reasons, mainly due to too many projects and space limitations.

Body-

Being a California car, it's very solid with only minor rust. Floors, rockers, shock towers are all very solid. There is some rust on the roof, behind the sunroof, and around of the trim, The car has been stored mostly indoors since in Ohio. There is wrinkle in the L quarter, from a prior accident (clear title), but aligns perfectly and is also relatively minor in comparison to the rest of the body work a restoration will entail.

The motor was assembled, started and fast idled to properly break-in the cam. It has been ran approximately 2 hours during carb turning. It’s been driven about 10 miles on the new motor. It currently has the stock manifold and Weber 32/36 on the car, with a mechanical fuel pump. The DCOE setup is included. Neither set-is running well. The 32/36 isn’t jetted for the cam/compression. The car did run reasonably well with DCOE set-up, but not to my satisfaction for street use. Thus the switch to the 32/36 which came with the car when I bought.
