Interestingly enough, when BMW bought Glas they shipped all the tooling for that car to South Africa and started building it in their plant down there and called it a "2004".

When BMW moved out of the museum they set up temp camp across the street while the old place was being rebuilt and expanded. In the temp museum they had a "fishbowl" resto shop that allowed you to watch projects being worked on. My last trip there, they were just starting on one of these. I have some pics that i should try and find and post.
