NE1 know Alfas??

A good friend is getting the itch for a project car and despite all my efforts to convince him to get an "02, he is smitten with Alfa Romeos from the 60's. I have always been a German car guy and have little faith in the Italian product although they are mighty pretty.

Any tips or recommendations, warnings or advice I can pass along would be greatly appreciated.

BUY THE BEST AND FULLY COMPLETE ALFA HE CAN.

I would take a little rust over one that is incomplete. Ya just can't call Blunt and get what you need. There is a lot (shit loads) of stuff that is NLA in the Alfa world.

I was sorta jonesing for an early Alfetta (1975) for a while. You can't even buy a guibeo for one.
