On ebay. Not mine.

A few things don't add up....

anyone care to play Where's Waldo?

I'll start first. It says it's a TII, never been in an accident but has a snorkel. (yes I know the urban legend about a few being damaged in the port upon arrival)

There's more. See if you can spot them.

I guess we could email Herr what's his name at Mobile Trad with the VIN to see if it was Chamonix or Polaris before the shock tower tops became pumpkin....cause I cant believe that anyone would just decide that blue vinyl looks great with Inka. Dave V. in NC

4 years ago it was Chamonix; hence the blue seats.

Thanks for all the detective work! I was thinking about driving down to see it. You saved me the trip since I am not really interested in an Inka poser.

If it were for real, that would have been a very very rare car.

Of the round tail lights, you may know there were 1302 '73 tii's brought into the US. There were 23 colors that year, so there should have been 60 or 70 Inka's that year.

Then from what I've been told - and it could be more urban legend - fewer than 15% would have had sunroofs, meaning that maybe a dozen ORIGINAL US Imported '73 Tii's would have made it into the country with sunroofs sporting that color.

Out of those dozen, how many would have survived after 36 years?

That's why I looked twice.

It makes me wonder how many "US born" Tii's are out there.

Interesting...what would be you estimate of 72tii's in Taiga with a sunroof?

Tii's brought into the United States as 1972 model year:

72's made in 1971 = 422

72's made in 1972 = 2797

total = 3219

there were 22 colors for 1972 (of which Tiaga was a metalic paint - possibly rarer).

3219 / 22 x .15 = about 22 cars for that color, 1972.

The one wild card that I do no know is: were all 22 colors available on the tii, or did it have it's own select - possibly smaller group of colors?

Wow...I didn't realize that the one I had was so rare. It will be killer when I get it done all be it not stock but with subtle changes.

Thank you!
