68 euro spec 2000 project in Western Washington

How active is the dreaded "tin worm" in Western Washington? I know that, sooner or later, one of these old NKs is going to get me. I just want to try to be sure I get one that isn't a rust bucket.

They generally rust pretty slowly here. We have a lot moisture, but we don't salt the roads at all.

my 73 has spent all its life in Seattle and Oregon, much of the time ungaraged, and it is a nice solid "dry" car, with the only annoying rust being in the door corners and spare tire well. FWIW.

I have never checked out this NK though, and I dont know anything about it's history or rust.

OK. Thanks. I've emailed the guy and asked for some detailed information. Probably not going to work for me, as I wouldn't be able to get out there until late February/early March to pick it up.....and I'd really planned on a real clean 02 to drive back to PA. But, you never know. I'm really intrigued by the 1800/2000 NK sedans........
