tube that runs from the behr unit inside the cabin

74tii- I think it's a tube. getting ready to swap carpet this weekend. I was cleaning the behr unit and panels this weekend and noticed a tube that runs down the bottom of the unit and out through the tranny tunnel. Didn't get a chance to crawl underneath and look.

If this is a tube, does it run out the tunnel for condensation? the carpet I'm getting ready to put in doesn't have this hole.

If it's a tube, then then maybe I can lift the ac unit, slice a hole and shove the tube back down or if it's wiring, may have to slit the carpet up to the hole.

Any ideas?

Thanks

My Behr unit has a single piece of hose (tube) that extends through the

carpet, and the transmission tunnel, allowing condensation to drain from

the evaporator. Just a small (aprox. 5/8") hole cut in the carpet and the

tunnel.

Hope this helps,

Randy Anderson
