I've had two sets of these stoneguards pass through my hands in the past ten years.

I couldn't find a way to affix them to my car without wondering:

1. -how they would stay affixed to the wheel arches during spirited driving.

2. -how quickly the areas beneath them would rust.

Sold 'em.

Regarding mudflaps:

When I purchased my new 1974 2002 "back in the day" I had the dealer install a set of factory mudflaps. The car and the mudflaps are *still* united and living in Newport RI.

I've had a few sets of used mudflaps in the past decade, but I've sold them off.

Somehow, I managed to hold on to two NOS sets and tucked them away in my stash, including a very rare set of Italian mudflaps I purchased from an ebay seller in Cyprus.

shaped strip) that go in the chrome upper door cap.

And a tire company to step up and produce a "performance all weather" 185/70x13 tire for year round use (at least in areas that don't get snow & ice) - preferably with a fairly aggressive tread pattern and simple sidewall design. Personally, I'd be more than happy if Bridgestone would reissue the old RE900..............

How about the 1-year only rubber spacers that cover the 73 back bumper brackets.

Or the cardboard underdash pieces.

For tires, I liked the set of Bridgestone SF (Super filler) RD207 radials I had on the back of my 75 VW (185-70R-15). Remember the golfer Lee Trevino selling "super filler" radials on TV?

Tom,

Is that an original bottle. Do you have a closeup of one.

It looks like some of the old Helphos from VW.

Pic of early 66/67 bottle (VDO)

I am familiar with most of the VW washer bottles but not all.... I'll take a few more detailed shots soon and we'll see if there's a VW one or from another German make I don't know of.
