M10 Rebuilt Short Block

This is a rebuilt motor is out of a 1971 2002. It has zero hours on the motor since being rebuilt. The engine has new domed piston (only fit the older style 121 head), new rings, new bearings, new rods, new seals, new tensioner, new chain guide, new cranks sprocket, the timeing cover, and the oil pan.

The older style head had a smaller intake valve but had a smaller chamber for a better compression ratio. Larger valves can be installed and you can get more bang for your buck with the 121 head. After 1972, due to emission restrictions, BMW went with a larger chamber in the E12 head and this head is more predominate due to availability.

The pistons on this block is no longer available on the market due to the limited supply of the 121 head and therefore reduced demand. So, if you have the older style motor and want an up-grade with a little more compression, this block is for you.
