Looking for a 72-73 tii in Inka with a sunroof. Cali Car no rust...project or finished okay. Will consider Golf or Colorado for the right car. Vin must match original color.

Thanks. I had seen that car previously(RECENTLY) for sale in Georiga for $4500.

There is a story there but I don't like the sound of it. I had one bad experience with another tii from TX.

Thanks Ray. Went to Norcal yesterday to look and drive this one. Would be a great car for a full restoration with a few rust issues. Car is priced as if it were in much better shape. I liked it but too expensive given that EVERYTHING needs to be done.

Have you looked at that car? I know it's a 74 (not what you want), but thought since you are in SoCal. It's still listed on CL.

I might actually be interested, but the Webasco scares me a little ...

That would be great. They claim it's a rust free car, restored about 2 years ago, and the original color is golf. But I see a lot of black in the engine compartment and trunk. Any panels replaced?

Then the Webasto sunroof. Looking at the pictures, it looks like a very clean installation. I heard that those aftermarket roofs can weaken the body strength. Wonder if they reinforced the roof.

They also have a red 74tii with weird seats, and a funky yellow 73tii (maisgelb?)

Probably can't get over until Friday. The yellow 73 tii was 'repainted' from dark red....what dumb ass would repaint that car that color. Don't get your hopes up...all the 02's looked funkey.

I found these other 02's and a 2800cs on CL in the OC. turns out the guy is selling some this weekend from his house which is in laguna where I live. I am going to check out the 2800cs. He had a 76 02. you may want to check cl for the pix. he also sent me a link to his company's website:www.vintagebmwlive.com

I will look at an inka 73 tii sunroof 5-speed on Friday that might be for sale. Inka is not my favorite, and I would prefer having A/C. So if I don't buy it, I will give you the contact information.
