"The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald"

by Gordon Lightfoot sends chills up the back of my neck. So does "Seminole Wind" by John Anderson. Completely different genres. I guess It's the imagery they invoke. Interesting (to me) I have a similar reaction to both songs.

Jim, you're due for a trip back to the "Mid-America '02 Fest" in April. It's the tenth year! I know you have to plan your off time / car events carefully but you'll just have to find a way to do Arkansas AND V@V! It'd be great to see you so keep it in mind. I'm trying to work on Larry Wilson too. It'd be great if you guys could caravan. The only Arkansas beer that's well known (that I'm familiar with) is Diamond Bear. They have about seven different offerings...I've only tried a few. I like the Pale Ale and their "Rocktoberfest". Tim "Tiger75" Abendroth from Shreveport, LA (whom you've met) turned me on to the Abita beers...Good stuff!

Maybe......... it's a long way to Eureka Springs. We are planning to do a family trip to Austin, TX in April which would rule out an Ark. trip. I am going to Vintage again in late May. Drank a Negra Modello this eve. btw.

Glad to see GL Brewing is still around.

I was in Cleveland on business back around 1990. The local rep offered to take me to dinner, so I asked if there were any good brewpubs in town. He didn't know, so I looked and found this one on Market Street.

Good food, good beer. The local guy was very impressed.

I brought a six pack home with me. (remember when you could carry bottles aboard airplanes?)
