Apparently...........yes.

All my '76 models have wimpy control arms compared to what came off my '74 Touring.

'76 version is on the right in the 1st pic, and bottom in the 2nd pic.

That is strange because it should be so that the very early cars had the wimpy ones. They found to be weak and were upgraded quite quickly but I don't know when exactly. Anyway only one style available.
