Re-posting my car for sale. Realized my initial price was to high. Taking offers. Please let me know what you think. Really need to sell this as I am looking at buying a '66 Porsche 912 and I do not want to let it get away.

This weekend I replaced the 2002ti badge with a 2002 badge, added hood insulation and replaced a worn out vent window knob with a nice looking one.

ODO says 39,000 and based on speaking with PO I think it has only turned over once.

VIN: 2533363 (built May of 72)

5 Owners

Once again, please let me know what you think about the car and the price.

'Twas the week before Christmas, when all through my thoughts

Not a nullzwei was stirring, not even a 'setta;

My '02 was parked in the driveway with care,

In hopes it's sixth owner would soon be there;

It's tires aglisten on shiny chrome wheel

While visions of Porsches were making me squeel

And pistons alll flat and out to each side

(Instead of in line and tilted aside )

When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,

I sprang from my chair see what was the matter.

Away to the window I flew like a flash,

Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash.

The moon on the top of my Chamonix ride

Gave the lustre of stately old Munich-built pride.

When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,

But a slopy 'ol Porsche, with 1600 cc,

With a little old driver, so filled up with glee

My mind drifted to thoughts of a Z.

More noisy than hammers that engine so lame,

It whistled, it grunted , it hurted my brain;

Zero to sixty in eleven point eight!

At speed in a corner it wants to go straight!

Come on goddammit, start in the rain !

It always needs high test, oh what a pain!

No heat in the winter because it's air-cooled,

It certainly has all those dentists well fooled!

So up to my driveway this madman drive

With the car full of spare parts and just barely alive

And then, in a twinkling, and with a great hiss

The oil seal gave out and it took a great piss

As I drew in my hand, and was turning around,

Down the chimney Cris Bangle came with a bound

He was dressed in his jumpsuit, from his head to his foot,

He said can you ever forgive me that god-awful boot?

...and I'll leave someone else to finish the rest!

Good luck with the sale - maybe change the post and say your buying an E9!

Is fuel efficiency really what we need most desperately? I say what we really need is a car that can be shot when it breaks down.

yup...square taillights...I will explain...

Car was in Atlanta owned by a BMW mechanic...got into a fender bender meaning the frame was not hurt)....had a chance to replace the back with sqaures since he had access to many 2002's.....did so despite protest from his family...and there we have it...frankenstein is born!

Looks like he did the same with the nose too. The car's got a late nose as well as a late tail.

Still looks like a nice car to me, but then I'm a squarie kind of guy.. You might have trouble getting your '73 price with so much of the '73-ishness removed... A lot of people side with that Atlanta mechanic's family..

Good luck though! I love the Euro-squarie look.. Building one right now!
