Not a new motor, that's a very suspect rebuild from a disreputable company.

They take junkyard engines & clean/paint the outside, only replace parts that are actually broken, and even there it just gets swapped out with another junk part.

Horror stories abound -- customers found different size bores/pistons within an engine (where they only resized one cylinder.)

Stay clear of that seller.

Where did you get that information?

According to their Ebay feedback, the seller has sold mostly intakes and other items, not complete motors.

Its not impossible that someone would make a wooden Bav. Eng. Exch. box, weather the wooden box to look aged, paint the engine block (and tape up the freeze plugs, rear main seal,etc), and strap the engine down to the palleted box. I'm sure the Bav Eng. "void if removed" decals could be duplicated.

The pics in the listing show the ports and they look to have been ported/polished and not "just replaced with other junkyard items".

i will fess up to not doing a search for baveng exchange, but the user name posting the slam on their product makes me immediately suspect about the bias he/she has.......

i dont know who made the post about bavarian auto recyclers but it is accurate. search that name on roadfly and youll see why. they deserve the reputation he speaks of

At our family shop we cringe when someone comes in with one of their motors. We have had many bad dealings with this company. My advice is to stay away...

sounds like a deal..the compression across all cylinders for the rebuilt unit is 125 lbs...LOL
