Lynx Single Sidedraft Linkage Options

Hello all. I just recently had the single sidedraft installed on my 71 1602 (E21 engine) and I'm not particularly happy using the cable linkage I have on there now. Anyone running this setup using something different?

On a side note, I went from a 32/36 to the single 45 DCOE, and all though I have no dyno testing done to it, I've noticed a HUGE difference. From seat of the pants testing, Mike from Sports & Imports (Chesapeake, VA) says it feels similar to the dual 40's he use to install a few years ago. For me the change was so drastic, I have to relearn how to drive my car. Haha.

I'll post pictures when I can, currently the cars back in the shop due to an alternator problem.

What did you do to port match the Lynx to the 1600 head? The Lynx should have ports for the 2002 which are larger than the 1600 ports. Supposedly you would get gas "puddling" around the smaller ports. When I ran side draft 40s on my 1600 with manifolds designed for a 2002 I had a problem with flooding when starting and stumbling at sudden wot.

The motor in my 1602 is not original - it was swapped out for a 76 E21 2.0L some time ago.

If I can get out of work today to pick it up, I'll take some photos and post them this weekend in a project blog I've been meaning to start.
