e30 bentley manual

Im surprised I dont have this already, but does anybody in the bay area (or anywhere) have an extra bentley manual for the e30 they can lend/buy?

I also need to make sure it covers the m42 1990-1991 318i/is.

Hi Ash,

I've got the Bentley book and the Haynes you can borrow. Not sure how much 318is content there is. I also have the factory binder for the E30M3 that does have a sprinkling of info for other E30 models.

I just checked all the books I have and there is no coverage for the M42 motor. Sorry.

Looks like BMW stopped producing real motors with the S14. :^)

As others mentioned, no M42 content. You get to snag an e36 manual for that.

The E30 Haynes can also be downloaded, but can't remember where now. Try to Google it.

The E30 Bentley manual will cover everything non-engine related on the 318is. (And everything on the other E30s) The E36 Bentley covers the M42 motor. (And other E36 motors including the S50/S52) There are a few minor differences between the M42 in the E30 and E36, mostly the intake manifold and the existence of the knock sensor. Otherwise, the rest is the same.
