Sender for oil pressure gauge

Is an oil pressure gauge (tubing, etc) to old type needle gauge available for the BMW 2002, and, if so, where does it connect to the engine? Does it fit the same hole that the sensor for the dash light is?

gauge vs a mechanical one--easier to install and no chance of hot oil under pressure suddenly squirting all over you, our passenger and your car's interior.

Lotsa sources for VDO gauges--check the archives. And yes, the sender unit goes where the current idiot light sender goes--back end of the cylinder head adjacent to the dizzy. You can get a VDO sender with two terminals--one for the factory warning light, the other for the gauge. You'll have to buy an adapter to get the correct threads, but they're available from the same supplier as the gauges.
