New Trapezoid Mirrors

Thought I would pass along to the group that Coupeking has new reproduction Trapezoid mirrors available on his website.

I saw these last weekend and they look terrific, are made in Germany and even have the original blue tinted glass. At $200 shipped they are cheaper than BMW charges and it includes the mounting base and gasket.

$168.12 at Bell BMW

Wow - just paid $18 more each - wish I'd known about this before

Bell BMW - Where please? GIS shows several

Is fuel efficiency really what we need most desperately? I say what we really need is a car that can be shot when it breaks down.

Don't have a new trap mirror, but several old, and that gasket that BMW sells does not match the base of the orig trap mirror.

Yes, Bell BMW the best kept secret for low prices.

The question is, where is king getting these mirrors? He sure didn't spent 1000K on a re-manufacturing process, he is buying from somebody else, like the seat belts he sells, from Beam's in Oklahoma which you can get from me at lower prices. Let's find the real source of the mirrors, I bet it is in far east! They cost probably around $60-$70 each. Good profit margin.

I have two orig Trap mirrors on my '74 Touring. They are not blue tinted glass. I think the blue ones became available later, but I could very easily be wrong.

the glass has a noticeable light blue tint. So does the recent MT repro pax side mirror I got from Max a year or so ago.

The very early style (67-70) mirrors came both with blue tints and clear glass--there were at least three different manufacturers.
