engine and drivetrain Spark plug wire covers...for non-Tii only?

Can anyone tell me if the spark plug wire cover tube shown is for non-Tii only...or should I put one on my Tii engine?

jim i believe that's sold as a set....very similar to the e30 wire set...consider how you would get the plug ends thru the tube....?

i've seen them shopping and they were expensive

You can put a wire set with loom tube on any 2002 including a tii. Check out this thread:

I made my own from a flex pvc pipe. Looks fine and it took 30 minutes.

originally the answer is no since they used a metal heat shield. The tube first originated on the 75 & 76 models and was used due to the thermal reactor exhaust manifolds. The tubes really clean things up so they are commonly used as a retrofit on many a tii.

I'm not sure about today's availability, but I have a set of spark plug and rubber ends for the distributor that simply install by screwing them on the ignition wire. Makes repairing a faulty wire much easier.--JIm

This answers my question perfectly. I have decided to use this loom anyway...just to clean up the engine bay just a bit. I hope this doesn't flip out any purists on FAQ, but after putting a 5 speed on the car, it'll never be 100% correct anyway.
