Alternate Brake Master Cylinder Arrangement

tim2002

Recommended Posts

I wanted to share a brake master cylinder arrangement I came up with during my restomod. I worked with my friend and master fabricator Ron Tourte' to configure the two Tilton master cylinders (front an rear) and the Tilton mounting base fixture onto the end of the extension piece that usually supports the standard master cylinder and booster. We fabricated a new bracket to support these and provide the geometry to utilize all of the existing 2002 linkage.

I used two 7/8-inch Tilton cylinders and did away with the booster. With the two cylinders and the weight of the car being what it is I did not feel the booster was needed and in my test drive it has worked very well.

The pictures are not great but they show some of the details.
