I haven't verified the P/N's but seller "cmuzzy" is Zygmunt Motors in PA and has been an excellent BMW parts supplier for years.

Part 11001263393 (Rmfd short engine) was found on the following 114 vehicles:

114 2002turbo Sedan, M10, Europe, MANUAL (2291) : Short Engine "

but pictured in the "box" is a 'LONG BLOCK"

short block= block fitted crank and pistons

long block = block fitted with crank, oil pump,

oil pan, cylinder head, cam cover, valve timing

components, front covers

I guess part number sticker aside - one would want

to peer into a plug hole to see the piston tops ?

Someone might get a surprise!

it's a brand new "1982" bmw rebuild...... ie 28 years ago... if they've never been rotated or lubed they will probably need some minor rebuilding to be useable...

I'm simply intrigued by the possible scarcity if these are in fact replacement turbo long blocks. I give props to Zygmunt because they have a pretty strong history of selling quality stuff.

From the (3) supplied pictures, it does have the tii lower timing cover and what looks like the correct oil filter mount with fittings for connection to an oil cooler.
