Has anyone picked this one up yet? 74tii in SF CL

They can all be saved with time and money. This one has been sitting at A1 Imports in San Rafael for a couple years. It's faily complete -- however, the rockers, floors and trunk are bad. The interior is shot. It doesn't run.

Even if you could get it for free, you'd still have to pour some serious money into it.

A proper restoration of this one will cost tens of thousands of $$$. There are other '74tiis in the North Bay for a lot less than $10K.

My advice: Keep looking.

I love being bored at work....... ;-)

Keep `em coming!

I'm in the market for a [reasonably] rust-free roundie in the $4-4.5K range*. Drivetrain is a non-issue; I have a totaled `76 with a good engine and a 5-speed. The West Coast seems to be a good place to look, even though I'll have to ship her to DC.

You're time is not wasted!

*I might consider a California `76 Fjord Squarie, if the price was right.
