Have you considered going to manual brakes? SP allows any single master cylinder and booster (or no booster).

I am evaluating my brake options right now. It will take some calculations to figure out proper MC. But i will do that after i get lighter disks all around.

Very nice, Steve. Do they make a banged up, covered in patina and oxidization version that would pass for vintage racing? ;)

A few more things done this weekend. Redoing a lot of wiring and finding places for new component.

Mounting fuel pressure regulator to vacuum rail

4513903600_28912a7149_b.jpg

Found a place for coils

4513267347_ba05f378ec_b.jpg

This is where the battery lead terminates under the hood. Adds a place to jump the car and an easy positive.

This is where the rest of the positive leads will com from

Installation continues.

The ITBs are now mounted and bolted in. You can see the place for the throttle cable in this photo.

4533276729_49b01c2e79_b.jpg

The final hose is in place. You can also see the new coolant temp censor for the ECU. I also have a fan coolant temp gauge censor and and fan switch. The switch will not be used any more since TECgt has a programmable output for that.

4533272119_09f2df6948_b.jpg

The hose from the rail to the Pressure Regulator going around the linkage and the coolant censors.

4533280097_273bc6f65f_b.jpg

The plumbing is completed and tested. Got the pressure to about 60psi and there were no leaks. Had to add a little piece of BMW hose on the fuel pump side and 5/16 to AN6 converter since the Aeroquip hose was too big for the pump.

4533919178_b54a664cdc_b.jpg

Found a plug in the firewall. This was probably for the AC. Can anyone confirm? It's on the passenger side under the glove box. Pulled it out. This will be the place for the harness.

4533928046_6cb2b73af2_b.jpg

The ECU itself will be sitting in the the console. I think the fuse box and a pair of relays will be mounted on the firewall in the glove box.

I sorted through the harness and labeled all the wires. Also separated them into bundles of weather they are staying in the cab or going into the engine compartment.

A few more photos. made a copper heat shield for the O2 sensor. Not sure if it will actually fit. Might be a bit too big.

Tom from 02 Again made a couple cool things for me. Attached the trigger wheel to a small aluminum pulley, and made a magnetic trigger holder. All aligned. Pretty cool stuff.

Steve - the hole in the firewall seems to be on most 2002's. Not sure what the original intent was for. Here is my car with the (2) upper holes for the A/C lines and the extra unused hole I used to route my 02 sensor cable.

The EFI project is over. First race is tomorrow. We'll see how that goes.

Here are the final photos. Those who went to BayArea02 show already have seen the final installation. Now the car has been tuned and seems to run well.
