I was sitting in my 65 Fairlane today and noticed

a piece hanging down between the brake pedal and the emergency brake pedal. My first thought is wtf? The car was running and I pushed on it with my foot. It is a pedal that actuates the wipers. Like th elowest setting on a modern intermittent wiper. I thought that it was pretty cool for 65.

MY 1960 GOLIATH EMPRESS HAD MYSTERY A BUTTON ON THE FLOOR .

IF YOU TAP IT WITH YOUR FOOT , THE WIPERS WOULD TAKE A SWIPE .

IF YOU PRESS ON IT , IT WAS ALSO A SQUIRT GUN PUMP THAT WOULD

SPRAY THE WINDSHIELD WASHER !

THE LINES & THE WIRES RAN UNDER THE CARPET .

THE WASHER RESERVOIR WAS A COLLAPSIBLE BAG UNDER THE HOOD .

THEY HAD SOME PRETTY INNOVATIVE IDEAS BACK IN THE DAY .
