Standard 30amp automotive relays should cost you about $5 for Tyco brand (the good ones).

Even the "Bosch" general purpose 12V 30Amp orange relays I recently purchased are made by Tyco. 'Tyco Made in Portugal' is on the side of the relay and there's a faint Bosch label stamped on the top of each one.

  • 2 weeks later...

technically though - you can pretty much use any 30 amp 12vdc relay though correct? Most of the installs I'm seeing have 5 terminal relays - I am just planning on reusing a couple 4 prong ones I had from a motorcycle heated grip install. I mean.. they're simple enough items - seems like overkill spending close to $10 each for a genuine Hella unit

especially when you can pick up as many as you can fit in your pockets for the $2 admission to Pick N Pull ;-)
