tires and wheels question about 13" wheels

Minilite/Panasport/Superlite wheels on 2002s these day! At a recent gathering here in northern VA more than half the cars were sporting them. I have 15" Panasports that I'm thinking about giving a rest, as a result.

911 guys dont say much of that w/ Fuchs 5 spokers.........classic is classic.

ATS made wheels for BMW and Opel in the 70's, that look just like the Cromodoras. Various sizes and offsets. They pop up every once in a while on Ebay, and are pretty inexpensive. Ebay Germany has tons of them. You can buy them very cheap but the shipping cost will be rediculous:

The difference is that Fuchs wheels came originally equipped on Porsches, and you could buy them at the dealership. Minilite/Panasport/Superlite are aftermarket wheels.

Either way, at least to me, as long as they are period correct and look good on the car, I would not care how many other people have them.

It seems like the rare look today is stock. That's why I've gone back to steel wheels, however I've used 2000CS 14x5.5 steel wheels to make tire buying easier, as well as some extra width. Steel wheels can never look bad on these cars.

Still kicking myself for not picking up the set of 1972 casting date 13" Ronals someone was selling 3 years ago (same wheels that are currently on the '69, but 3 years closer to the car's age).
