  1. So, in the US the service interval was 6000 miles, whereas in the UK it was 4000 miles/6000 km. Did BMW just change kilometers to miles?
  2. When the car was serviced at 4000 miles, the next sticker would be removed and attached to the car. This would be a reminder to the owner that the car was due for its next service at 8000 miles. It would appear the owner either didn't have the car serviced at 8000 mile, or left the book at home so the service agent couldn't fill it in. I would assume, when the car was first bought, the first sticker (next service due at 4000 mile) would have been attached to the car.
  3. Think that's a little more than dust/dirt on these, but your price is getting better. If you posted all your items in one message/post instead of 1 post-1 piece, then your fellow parts Sellers wouldn't be bumped off the first page so quickly. Just a thought! Which Dealership do you work for, or, are you a privateer?
  4. I believe they were stuck on the car (windshield, door jam) to show you when your next service was mileage due. The later Service Books didn't have them, at least my Touring one didn't. My Touring currently has 122k on it. The book is an excellent record of service history, which may earn you a few extra £ or $ when you come to sell the car. This is my Touring's book:
  5. Try here: http://www.getbmwparts.com/parts/index.cfm?make=BMW&year=&searchText=34111117422&action=oePartSearch&siteid=214672 These will be shiny new too. Are you a NOS Dealer with all these dirty parts?
  6. Strange one this. It's been around on Ebay a few times; Nov '05 in NM, Jun '06 in CO, May '07 in MA and Dec '07 in FL. According to the mileage, it's done 100 miles since '07. It looks just the same as the Dec '07 Ebay pics, incl manual g/box, Recaros, and the carpet.
  7. Out of interest, from the pics/info that I have:- 2762318 - manuf 26 Jul '72 - no notch & plastic runners 2762325 - manuf 27 Jul '72 - notch & plastic runners 2762341 - manuf 28 Jul '72 - notch & plastic runners 2762397 - manuf ??? - notch & alum runners
  8. VIN 1553426 - would make it a '71 RHD 1602. It does have a RHD armrest on the left hand door. Maybe a clever swap? Webasto roofs were common in the UK back in the day.
  9. Only shows a gasket for the 6-fuse box. If there's one under the later 12-fuse box it appears you have to purchase the whole thing.
  10. Sir, Your pictures are 4 years old (from when you had it on Ebay in 2011), including the one of the gauge cluster. You state it cruises fine and is great around town, so what is the mileage now, or have you not driven the car in 4 years? Enquiring minds want to know, and, good luck with your sale.
  11. For sure! My Touring has worse areas, and they will be fixed. Pretty sure the shock tower rust came over from the UK and I've driven this all over the past 15 years here. Did wonder why it rode a little lop-sided. Beware of Tourings with carpeted shock towers!
  12. +1 in the meantime, 2574356 was built in 1971, probably late May.
  13. 2531737 - 1970 model built late '69 (probably Dec '69). From what I can see, it has a US rear bumper (no licence plate holes)
  14. For sure is familiar. The FL Seller states he has had the car 8 yrs and the prev owner did the resto. The resto was done 2013-2014! On Ebay Jul-Aug '13 and was mostly Fjord with (maybe) some new panels. Again on Ebay Sep-Oct '14 and now resto'd. Note, some of the pics from the FL Seller are ones used in the 2014 auction.
  15. Was imported by "pichos1" (Jan?) and was on Ebay 2 yrs ago. Imported from Belgium, but was previously in France. Rust free would be amazing from that area. Price has risen over 50% since then apparently (the tii thing). Originally had the "sport paket" but lost the seats quickly after it arrived in the USA.
  16. Not sure about the 0 (zero), but 5292835 shows as a Euro 3 series 320 E21 July 1977 2ltr motor. HTH
  17. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1973-BMW-2002-tii-Restoration-Project-Part-Restored-/221952707485?hash=item33ad698b9d:g:IFkAAOSwv-NWVEeG
  18. Some "classic" posts there on BAT regarding the Seller. This was one of the infamous Select Classics cars (2010), hence the overspray etc. 2780457.
  19. RD - $381 + $479 = $860. When I looked at the site yesterday, pretty sure both sides were $479 each!!! $472 from W & N - Euro 222 each as you don't pay Europe's VAT. Shipping from Germany (DHL) is usually ok and blisteringly quick. Duty, is a toss up; sometimes I get hit, sometimes I don't.
  20. So, if you order from W & N you get both for the cost of one at the other place. Great mark up!
  21. 2671182 is a 1971 1600-2 Euro model (ie not a USA model), manufactured February? 1971.
