  1. I just looked at your post/pics again. The bumper on the left is obviously for the '71-'73 set up as it has the holes for the rubber strip mounting pegs, but the profile is NOT correct. The bumper on the right has the correct profile...ie the flat portion that the rubber strip mounts to. FYI - if you order the #656, you should get the correct '71-'73 bumper profile, but it should have the holes for the Euro in-bumper plate lights. Give BLUNT a call/message as he will get you the correct part at a competitive price.
  2. Depends what year car you have. 51 12 1 801 250 is the rear centre bumper for an early US car 51 12 1 816 006 is the rear centre bumper for a later US car (up to '73) I think the change was early '71 when the rear bumper changed to the "long" sides with attached rubber bump strip.
  3. That "style" of stating the tolerance was from an earlier version of the Blue Repair Manual (3.73). The later version (9.75) shows mm (in) 0.12....0.20 (0.0047.....0.0079) Gap inner/outer rotor should be between the two numbers.
  4. I am now! UK reg #s ending with LJ, RU or EL all were originally from Bournemouth, UK. My '73 2002 (FLJ) written off in Belgium many years ago.
  5. The reg # MLJ denotes it was registered in Bournemouth, UK......same place I came from.
  6. It was on Ebay a couple of times last month. "Buy it now" was $10k !!!!
  7. Yes, what Jim said. I can't see a "snorkel". What is the VIN?
  8. Just get one of these to "step up" to the correct hose size.
  9. Tom, Do not have any info on this one. Didn't know there were any "factory Baur" 1600ti Cabrios
  10. Why would anyone kill for those? Maybe the seller (heheh), as front & rear early bumpers can be had new for half $3k.
  11. That 2002AD pic dates back to Jun '09 when the car was for sale. 2002AD stated it was a Euro tii..........so it could be a '75, eventhough 2002AD noted it as a '74. Allow me to add confusion. The unknown VIN would help.
  12. $21 here. Part # 51 11 9 558 125 http://www.getbmwparts.com/parts/index.cfm?make=BMW&year=&searchText=51119558125&action=oePartSearch&siteid=214672
  13. Looks good Richard. Only in the UK would you put a roof aerial on (heheh). Your license plate is probably worth some coin too.
  14. What Mike said. A great event rain or shine. So good to meet up with '02 friends new and old. It's like a Family affair. Les
  15. It was owned by Javier Torres (San Antonio) in the late '90s/early '00s. I believe he did the upgrades.
  16. The grill has been upside down at least 7 years, when BimmerBrother Evan had it on Ebay.
  17. Webasto = aftermarket IMHO. The grab handles shown in your pic, also not factory. What is the VIN?
  18. They look like the Ronals fitted to the Austin Metro Turbo way back when. If so, the et is 38. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/set-of-ronal-alloys-13h2x5j-et38-/251317966854?ssPageName=ADME%3AX%3ARTQ%3AGB%3A1123&nma=true&si=lYwLlieMwHaPhEnwGtHs0mbdm44%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557#ht_101wt_1130 HTH
  19. I was hoping for rain! Us Brits can drive in it, then I would be able to keep up with everyone on Bo's "drive".
  20. Tom, It has been on Ebay a couple of times since 2010; auctioned by House of Luxuries, CA. Not sure if they auction on consignment for the current Owner, or they own it? Car was in Texas before then. It has some severe rust!
  21. As far as I know, all Tourings (except 1600) had the same 230mm brake drum as the sedans (part# 34 21 1 101 741)..my Touring does anyway. The Turbo had the 250mm drum (part# 34 21 1 117 047)
  22. Not sure, but the front side "wing" windows do not look curved at the top like a Lumma would have......could be a real Cabrio???
  23. 1557182. Was for sale back in '80s by Lothar Schuettler (MD) and more recently Aug 2011 in Great Falls, VA. Reported to have new fenders, doors but still needed work.
