  1. Jim, That's John Watts' (Cincy, OH) Boston Metallic Green Touring.
  2. Some of those pictures date back to the Aug 2009 auction, and they were used again in 2011. You'd think they would put a set of new (current) pictures up, unless...........
  3. Ray, The timing notch didn't appear until July '72, so this early '72tii would be correct without it.
  4. I think the only difference is that the heads (in the UK) were "reportedly" not assembled for leaded petrol. However, my RHD Touring (with original head) has been swallowing leaded petrol over here since 2000 with no obvious problems.
  5. When I saw this event earlier in the year, Yvonne and I hoped to make it with the Touring and 633. Unfortunately, I had to ship out to Germany that w/end. Next year hopefully. Ben, were you the only '02 there? Would have been real good if we could have made it; 2 Tourings and no '02 sedans!
  6. VIN is wrong. 4203228 is supposedly the last in the series, thus 4203281 is a typo maybe?
  7. I too was looking into this as I need a driver side. Walloth & Nesch's price is $300 + shipping from Germany, and the US place is $515 + shipping in US. Big difference!
  8. When I look at the trunk (on my computor), it appears dark blue under the black, so it could have been Baikal or Atlantik originally which would match the interior colour. Now it appears to be Mintgrün which I do not think was available in '73. The licence plate frame suggest the car may have been in Glendale, CA, at one time.
  9. A year ago it looked relatively presentable.
  10. Thought I'd sneak in the 1802, but Rob beat me by a couple mins. Considering rarest as survivors in 2013, then you may be correct with the ti. Some 16,000 were produced but I guess many were raced, ridden and put up wet and ended up recycled steel. Certainly there aren't many known in the US (maybe more in Europe?). The Turbos, Targas and Cabrios seem to have been looked after, and survive eventhough few were made.
  11. How about the 1802 Auto. These were for the Israel market and only 100 were produced.
  12. Your car was on Ebay Dec '12 and the Seller stated the Red leather interior was original. The Ebay Seller's ID is no longer valid, so can't help you there. Hopefully you have a contact for him. The Seller was in Charleston, SC, at that time.
  13. The pump looks right but the bracket is to locate it remote from the reservoir. I guess you could remove the pump and fit it to your bracket that locates on the bottom of the reservoir (asuming you have one).
  14. Well, those guys can prattle on. This Touring's been for sale for a few years now. There was also talk on here a while back of whether it was a bona fida Alpina, or an Alpina clone. I'm sure those guys could tell us!
  15. '88 Cutlass......long gone. It was Yvonne's before she got the E36 Cabrio (also gone)
  16. Most of Rare Rides' (spif100) auctions end that way (early). I guess he found a buyer off Ebay maybe.
  17. 633 & Touring Beater & Touring "Blue" & Touring Siena 2 & "Blue" Siena 1 & Touring I really need to thin the herd!
  18. Ben, That's correct. Call Steve (Bluntech) - he just got a set for my Touring. Good price too. I wanted to get rid of the flat blinkers as they are hardly seen in daylight. On a few trips with the Touring & Beater, if I'm ahead in the Beater and looking back at Yvonne in the Touring I can't tell if the flat blinkers are working or not, and the blinkers are not that old. I'm sure the bubble ones have to be more visable (they are for sure on the Beater).
  19. It was manufactured March/April '76 if that helps.
  20. The Touring was offered with a "sport paket". This included the "often called" tii alloy wheels, Recaro seats, sport steering wheel AND the bubble blinkers. These blinkers are different than the US ones (they have a different part#) and are still available and cheaper (for some reason) than the US bubbles and the flat blinkers. More importantly, they are much more visable than the flat blinkers.
  21. The Seller in Oregon actually says it is owned by the original founder of 2002AD.
  22. Did you know that Portsmouth (the original one in the UK) boasted, when I was in college there, 365 pubs. A different one for every day of the year......unless it was a leap year.
  23. Unforced error in my earlier post! The early bubble blinkers are used FROM the VINs stated, not UP TO. Prior to those VINs, US cars had flat blinkers. Sorry 'bout that.
  24. According to the Blue part book 63 13 1 351 629 & 630 (bubble type) were used FROM to VIN: prior to that they were flat blinkers 1570371 1663616 2531437 63 13 1 353 861 & 862 were used from VIN: 1572693 1677377 2532126 AND as Bill W stated, the Touring tii had "bubble" blinkers 63 13 1 354 557 & 558 for the "sport paket" - still available and cheap in comparison to the US bubbles. Edited as I stated up to instead of from for the early bubble blinkers
