  1. So, why are you anonymous? Feel free to email me, via the 'button" above, if you would like to elaborate and enter a meaningful correspondence.
  2. I resent that you've tarred every TX2002 Member (as that includes me) with the same brush. Not a smart statement & not what I'd expect from a VP of a very large Bank for sure. FWIW, good luck with whatever you end up doing.
  3. Yep. I think the $2000 asking price was before the car failed on him/her. B 2548.doc
  4. House of Luxuries has had this one for a couple of years (Ebay Oct '10). "no visible rust".......unless you look underneath. It was originally Granatröt
  5. Try this 'site. http://www.wheeldictionary.net/ If after you've checked all the 10", 12" & 13" wheels, you can go to the Links.......it will keep you busy all day!!
  6. +1 I always get confused finding the right part on the doors. Anyone ever seen item 1 on the bottom of an '02 door?
  7. Well done Brad. Have ordered one, and it will be on show in China on my next contract! Only seen one '02 in China........it was on the side of a bus...an HP Printer Ad!

Email sent re Licences Plate Bracket.
  9. Andrew, It's the same wheel on my Oct '82 build E24 Sixer.
  10. Merry Xmas Bob, and all, from a sunny, windy 71f in TX.
  11. +1 However, with only 1876 RHD Tourings made, messing up a few RHDs may help the resale on mine!!
  12. The Baur was one of the kit cars assembled in Belgium to evade/avoid the import duties of the time. Didn't know Baurs were done like that. The Tundra "tii" is interesting. Non tii VIN for a '75 car, but has tii parts (no snorkel) and early interior and gauge cluster.
  13. Noted in the 2002 Registry in 2007 as an Atlantik 1600 and "alive" in TN. Prior to that I believe Andy Stuckey owned it. Motor (only) last known with Paul B.
  14. Didn't think there was an E21 325. There was an E21 323 though.
  15. I would expect it to be a copper washer (seal) or a bonded washer. It's a seal to prevent a water leak.
  16. A lot of '76 '02s did not have a VIN plate from the factory. Maybe they ran out??? Two of my '76s do not have the rivetted VIN plate.
  17. Cars sold in Europe are "titled" different than cars in the US. '02s made from Aug '73 thru' mid '75 in Europe were known as "model 73". Tourings basically had all the "upgrades" except the rear lights. They retained the round taillights which are larger than the sedan round taillights. '02s in Europe sold in 1973, were titled as '73, likewise if they were built in '73 and sold in '74, then they were titled as '74.
  18. Thanks "our kid". Interesting reading. I keep learning something new every day about these '02s.
  19. Ok, finally found a pic in my archive. It is 180kph and it's from a 1502.
  20. It may well be kph, although it works out to 112mph, which is perhaps a tad low for an '02. Maybe the 1502 had this? I know RHD tiis (& my RHD Touring for some reason) had 140mph speedos, and I think the Turbo, for Countries with miles, had a 150mph speedo.
  21. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Classic-BMW-2002-Clocks-speedo-cluster-RARE-/321032691928?_trksid=p2047675.l2557&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&nma=true&si=cbSpzo%2FR74d4LR%2BCqhpVZEYc4og%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc#ht_174wt_1257 This ebay auction has a 180 speedo. Never seen one of these before, and curious if anyone knows which model car it may have come from. Asked the Seller if it was mph or kph but never got a reply.
  22. Here's one. Hopefully someone will have a better, more intact one.

    UK News

Police in Liverpool Police in Liverpool just announced the discovery of an arms cache of 2000 semi automatic rifles with 250,000 rounds of ammunition, 10 antitank missiles, 4 grenade launchers, 20 tonnes of heroin, £50 million in forged UK banknotes and 25 trafficked Ukrainian prostitutes all in a semi-detached house behind the Public Library in Toxteth. Local residents were stunned. A community spokesman said: “We’re shocked. We never knew we had a Library!!” he he.
  24. I also bought a few RHD passenger arm rests a few years ago, so my project cars would match my RHD Touring. Grace goes with symmetry! Don't really understand why LHD cars had to be different.
