  1. Hi Jason, Buddy is the only one coming (at the moment) from Dallas. Let me know soonest if the guys from Austin are go/no go, as I have a hotel I'll need to cancel, and I'll then let Buddy know. Cheers, Les
  2. Supposedly sold on Ebay here in June for $32k, out of San Ramon, CA.
  3. Hmmm. I have 1 (passenger?) seat that is very similar to that. Has the same little lever thingie at the back. I have no clue what it is either.
  4. List (below) taken from a post earlier this year. 3.45:1 diff -- W=1.24 speedo 3.64:1 diff -- W=1.297 speedo (W=1.30 is close enough) 3.90:1 diff -- W=1.39 speedo ('76 49-State 2002) 3.91:1 diff -- W=1.393 speedo (E21 320is LSD) 4.10:1 diff -- W=1.4 speedo (1.461 calculated) 4.11:1 diff -- W=1.4 speedo (1.465 calculated) 4.38:1 diff -- W=1.559 speedo (calculated) HTH
  5. LHD 1600-2. A total of 126,591 were produced between 3/66 and 3/71.
  6. That's what BMW used back in the day to protect the '02s.
  7. That has been tampered with. Euro clusters did not have the red thingie with BRAKE on it, neither did UK; USA ones did. As the previous poster said, there was a clock where the tach is now, which would match an Auto '02 cluster. All 3 Gauges should have a blue date stamp, and probably, the same month.
  8. Basically what Jim said. The Touring trunk area is shorter than the sedan, so the shape is different and it has more capacity (deeper) than the regular '02 Tank. So you have:- 46 litre for 1600-2/1602/1802/2002 46 litre for 2002tii 51 litre for 1502/1602/1802/2002 55 litre for all Touring models 55 litre for Touring 2002tii 70 litre for Turbo Ta-Da
  9. Wow! The HM Government organising a petition??? That's a new one. I would have expected the AA or RAC to do it.
  10. Is it a Touring tank, a Touring tii tank or a Turbo tank. All are different.
  11. That would be good a excuse to get away from the "honey do" list!
  12. Typical! I'm home from 21Sep thru' 8 Oct. Oh well, have fun.
  13. According the Ebay auction, it is 5/8" x 5/8". So, just shy of 16mm.
  14. Richard, If you come down to San Antonio to see the Alamo, let me know. If the Austin guys have a get together (and I'm not on an overseas project myself), I'll be sure to come up to Austin. Look forward to meeting you, and, don't forget to bring some UK '02 stickers with you.
  15. Kinda sums up the EU for sure.....nothing better to do? When I left the UK 1990, the MOT was waaaaay more stringent than anything in the US. Most "older" cars driving around my area now (San Antonio) would be sent to the crusher.
  16. What we need is a better picture. Here's pics of a Lumma '73tii that was on Ebay a while back. This one looks very simliar. Seems Lumma had differing designs for their tops, as shown by the pic of the Lumma '76 1502. Note: Sellers stated these were Lumma conversions.
  17. Maybe a Lumma convertible. The car appears to be a Euro with the chrome bumpers.
  18. +1 I would start here before you attempt to remove/replace the heater box.
  19. Front HD = F4-P30-0023-HO, or 34-000236 (old number) Rear HD = F4-B46-0803-H1, or 24-008037 Front sport = F4-P30-0025-HO, or 34-000250 Rear sport = F4-B46-0118-H1, or 24-001182 HTH
  20. Interesting. 2002ti was made from Sep '68 thru' Apr '71, and are noted as "pre-71" model, ie short rear bumpers and no knee trim. However, the "71 model" appeared in Apr '71, so I suppose a long-sided rear bumper 2002ti could be correct, but I doubt it. The only greens available in '71 were Agave, Taiga met and Tundra met, as Turf and Florida were dropped after '70. This from BMW Colour & Upholstery brochures that I have.
  21. FYI Those two console sides are for an '02 with A/C. Not sure whether it's the BEHR, Clardy, or the Frigyking (sp) one though.
  22. If it is metallic Silver, then it would be Polaris.
