    I bought used kitchen cabinets for a song after I finished building my garage & workshop. Check Craigslist....you may find a bargain.

    Quite popular in the UK back in the day, although I'll never know why. My '73 Taiga '02 had a vinyl roof; actually a nice contrast to the Taiga green. The pic shows its demise in Mons, Belgium in '78 or '79 (can't remember).

    That '69 1600-2 is actually an April '71 1602 if the stated VIN is correct.

    You might want to check the underside of the roof. The pics show what I found on one of my parts car. The rust started right behind the sunroof opening and headed off to the two rear corners of the roof. The outside didn't look bad!

    Here's a couple of pics that may help. That cardboard underdash piece tends to get flattened out when in storage for a while, so the holes may appear to be too far apart.
