  1. he he. No matter how bad the day was here in China, I can always rely on some humour here on the faq to brighten my evening.
  2. Hey John, I'll be home from 6th to 22nd June if you get a stop-over in SAT.
  3. Guess there isn't an OSHA in Thailand. Not in China also. I'm in Tianjin, but safety hasn't changed in the 20 odd years I've been coming to China. They do have hard hats though......that should help. Handrails not required when you can run some string and a many flags. Safety harness not required, it's only a 35ft drop! Nice colour, by the way.
  4. No Rob, it's on the right side. Right = another word for correct. he he.
  5. Correct!....and trailer wiring!
  6. Like Dirk said. However, the parts book shows only a rectangular one. Two choices, one by Hella and one by ULO. The BMW accessory brochure of the era shows two also, one rectangular and one square. Used to have a pic, but can't find it now.
  7. I went through this a while back Paul. The parts book page only showed one number so I got 4 of them. Having taken everything apart I realised the inner & outer were different. Went back to the parts book and found the second page with the other part number. Why BMW didn't have them both on the same page I do not know.
  8. I'm lucky and don't have that problem. Hence the list of cars in my signature below.
  9. part# 31 12 2 614 100 - inner bushing - 2 required part# 31 12 1 112 902 - outer bushing - 2 required for some reason BMW doesn't show together on the same parts manual page.
  10. Based on this VIN, it might just be a '67 1600ti! Not in registry. Yep! Correct VIN for a '67 1600ti. Interesting.
  11. If the seller is willing to give the VIN, we can know if it's an original 1600ti.
  12. John, Here's my parts car, and correct spelling of Sienabraun (he he).
  13. Rob, I'm still in China (for the next 6 weeks), so can't look. But not sure if I have any brackets other than those on the Beater.
  14. My understanding is that Hoffman stipulated the '02s equip't etc if ordered in the US. Verona's standard interior colour was black. However, I would assume if a US military guy ordered his US '02 in Germany, he could choose his interior colour. Of all the pre '74 Verona cars I have info on, 99% of them have a black interior. The chart attached shows Verona had interior S70/92 (black with Grey cloth) or K88/92 (black vinyl). '74 and on, Verona '02s sometimes had Tan interior. Also very rare to see an '02 in the US with cloth material...probably also a Hoffman decision.
  15. Like Andy said....I do not think '73 and earlier Verona cars came with any other colour than a black interior. Take a look under the carpets or behind/under the dash to see if original colour was something other than Verona. Sahara maybe?
  16. Why is it these Tossers keep turning up in TX threads? This one needs to look up coward in a dictionary.
  17. They are the common or garden variety Recaros. They hold you in place real good, but not sure about them being real comfy. The original seats (with good padding) were, in my opinion, comfy, but the corduroy wore out on the drivers seat, and I have never found an exact material. If I ever do find an exact match, I'll put the originals back in.
  18. Hello Paul, The Touring's looking rather shabby these days. Long overdue for it's 2nd refurbishment. Hope all is well with you.
  19. On a Euro there is a small 5w parking/side light bulb in each headlight. If you're adding the US type side light, then tap into that 5w bulb wire. This is assuming you still have the original Euro type headlights; if not, there should be a loose wire close to each headlight.
  20. Car built by Karmann (prototype?) and has a rear end (tail-lights) from or similar to, the 2000CS of the era.
  21. Interesting that 1562101 also used to be in Albuquerque in the '80s.
