  1. Still doing great. Just like a timex. The diff is still loud, but I'm used to that now (he he).
  2. Really Chris? You stand up for this guy? You may want to wait until you install and run the LSD before you extol its virtues.
  3. Hey Rob, Unfortunately I'm out of the Country otherwise I could send you (or John?) one. I'm back first week June, so if anything else is needed then give me a shout. The least I can do for all the parts I got from you.
  4. There's a basic alignment/adjustment procedure in the BMW Blue Book Manual. Maybe someone in Dallas has one.
  5. There's this one on Ebay. May serve as a comparison. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Vincent-P200E-Vespa-P-200-E-Vincent-Lambretta-scooter-Mod-Punk-oldschool-vintage-Ska-british-c-/230776676140?pt=US_motorcycles&hash=item35bb5c9f2c I had a Lambretta LI 175 back in the '60s (UK) mod era. I never liked the look of the Vespa. The Lambretta's in the UK now are fetching some real high $$$$.
  6. Hi Larry, There's some '02 Owners in San Antonio (well, I'm 20 mile south), and a few on the Board here. Good luck with your mission and keep in touch.
  7. +1 Once the reflectors go bad, they are little better than glow-worms. Also difficult getting the correct reflector to suit the bucket. There are at least 3 different styles that I know of.
  8. If it has two flat sides, maybe use an adjustable (or correct size open-ended wrench) on it. Try and see if it unscrews.
  9. Slave Cyl 21 52 1 104 269 20.64 dia. same for RHD & LHD Master Cyl 21 52 1 104 262 19.05 dia. RHD only HTH
  10. I did on my '76 project car that came with no key. Removed the licence plate and inserted a long thin screwdriver through the wire/grommet hole. Took a few tries but it worked, to find a trunk full of rubbish.
  11. FWIW - VIN plate rivets are (I believe) aluminium, so they shouldn't be rusty; probably a sign that the VIN plate has been changed. The VIN plate, minus the printing is not unusual, and the stamped numbers on it look to be the correct font. As said, the stamping on the inner fender should be the correct VIN for the car.
  12. Bert's mechanic will like that. He like's a challenge.
  13. Actually, the trap mirrors came originally on my '74 Touring, and are shown on the '02s in the '74 & '75 Sales Brochure. I think the "flag" one came along early '75 with the E21 3 series.
  14. I'm curious. if all the problems are easy non-expensive fixes, then why the hell doesn't the Seller fix them? he might get $2500 then, maybe more.
  15. Apparently there are/were 3 different part numbers for this. The two for the US only cars (but not the tii) are NLA. However, part # 31 11 1 114 434 was for the Turbo and is available. Do not think Euro cars (other than the Turbo) had them.
  16. Won't make that one either. I'm currently in China and not due back for R & R until early June. I may have to see about a west coast event later in the year. Haven't been to one there yet. I too will drink a beer (or three).
  17. Randy, Don't forget a spare distributor. That's what sunk me at last year's event. Unfortunately cannot make it this year. Have fun.
  18. Got one also. I still lift at the same points though.
  19. Yes, the engine block at the rear and the alternator bracket at the front. Lifting here keeps the motor at the "canted" angle.
  20. Oh, I thought it might have come back from the dead. It's that time of year.
  21. You have 2586676 noted as Sahara & parted out in the 2002 Registry. Curious.
  22. I would like the motor for $20 (he he). I was just too far away though.
