  1. Interesting. Seems the F4-P30-0025-H (pick a number) has changed to 34-000250. Less confusing.
  2. Hi Bob, I have a pdf of the Bilstein application guide and I copied what was there. Just checked it again to make sure. I wasn't sure if the orig poster wanted HD or Sport, so, I noted both.
  3. HD front = F4-P30-0023-H0 HD rear = F4-B46-0803-H1 Sport front = F4-P30-0025-H0 Sport rear = F4-B46-0118-H1

  5. Allow me to help. Bracket to attach a US licence plate to a chrome bumper is part# 51 18 1 816 901. No. 8 on the attached diagram. I'd get a better pic but my car is in TX and I'm in China. Glad you were amused. A while back I tried to get a new set of UK plates for my car....I needed the UK title to get them. Unfortunately, Texas took my orig title when it was registered to get US plates.
  6. +1 Get the correct over-riders for a square car. You can get a bracket for your front licence plate that will line up with the orig holes on the bumper. Then you can get rid of that fugly Euro GB plate, or, get period correct GB plate.
  7. Do a search on Ebay UK for roof aerial, there's 7 or 8 pages worth. Here's a couple. I would assume you are looking for period correct chrome aerial/antenna rather than black. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/car-roof-aerial-/150773434297?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item231acc07b9 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ford-Focus-Roof-Aerial-98-05-/260971359931?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3cc31aeebb Even with shipping your still well 'in pocket".
  8. A good few years ago, I couldn't find a chrome roof antenna in the US. Eventually I found one on Ebay in the UK. I guess they are (were) still popular over there.
  9. Yes Bill. I'm curious as to why the 2002 Trg had them (mine did), but the 1600 Trg, 1802 Trg, 2002 Trg auto and 2002tii Trg didn't, according to the parts book.
  10. Hello Bill, Hope you and the family are well. I know the obvious, and perhaps correct, reason for the spacers is to set the car height at the front. There were, apparently, two different heights available. For some reason, I have not yet been 100% convinced it was just to set the height. I wonder if Helmut, Hans, whoever, had another reason. They are quite an intricate design just for a height spacers. Enquiring minds want to know. Edit: according to the parts book that I have, these spacers were not used on....any 1600-2/1602 model, no 1802 model, 2002ti, 2002turbo, 2002 trg auto and 2002tii trg, but were used on the rest. I wonder if this is true.
  11. Assume you have the slave bleed screw open. If the slave cyl has also sat a while the bleed screw could be blocked/gummed up, if so, remove it and see if you get fluid through then.
  12. They were installed on '02s, E3s and E9s (USA & Euro). Their exact purpose escapes me, but, as most of us have removed them without problems......go for it.
  13. Do we have to re-register? It doesn't recognise my user name & password that I've had for 10 years.
  14. Maybe your exhaust system moving enough to contact the floor?
  15. The starter in Da Beater did that, so I changed it for the smaller lightweight starter.....still makes the metal grinding screech/noise while starting. It's been doing it for over a year now; I've just got used to it.
  16. That one's been for sale (in Backnang) for over 4 years that I know of. It's been repainted last year (?), but I suspect it needs a good look over. The rear wheel arch profile does not look correct for a Touring, so it's probably had some body working. Same 130k km for 4 years so it hasn't moved too far, or the odo is u/s.
  17. I did that too! Wonder what Mr. Harz thinks when he gets requests from several people about the same VIN.
  18. Those are not the original gauges (as Seller states), so beware true mileage.
  19. Part # 63 26 1 353 470 A little under/over $40 ea depending on your choice of supplier.
  20. I think this car is VIN 2780382, if so, it was sold on Ebay Jul '11 for around $12k. Not sure if the VIN is the original Verona car or the donor Polaris car.
  21. Yes, I have it noted as being owned previously by Brian Foster, Irvine. He's probably lurking and could confirm, or otherwise.
  22. I agree entirely, plus refurbished/restored cars re-entering. I have a heap of photos and, basically, started going through them to see where stickers were positioned. My theory was/is, if I made a data base the most likely placement would become clear. Also, the change of sticker style (year) would become clearer.
  23. A while back I bought a '76 project with a locked trunk and no key. I removed the licence plate and, where the plate light wires go through the rear panel, I managed to get a long thin screwdriver in there and popped the lock. I found a trunk full of crap! It took a few goes to get it, but it was a success.
  24. Sticker placement for the various years was pretty consistent. The main exception is the Battery and Coolant stickers that often swapped positions.
  25. Really Ray? I should start referring to Bonnets, Boots, Sills and Wings. he he Two Countries separated by a common language.
