  1. Andrew, They are:- 51 13 1 803 359 and 360. These are fragile for shipping, so best to get at your local BMW Dealer and use your BMWCC membership discount.
  2. Otis, The Achtung sticker did not appear until late '73 with the '74 models. The Bremsgerat & Air Conditioning ones I have never seen/noticed on a car. I think your car is a '71 12 fuse car (trying to remember from my V@V 2009 visit) then the larger Tyre pressure sticker would be above the Oil Pressure Sticker on the Hood (sometimes to the right, by usually above). The smaller Capacity-Tyre Sticker is above the Emission Sticker. Not sure when they changed, but I believe the Colour Sticker font was italic through '71, but, no one that I know of reproduces the italic ones. As I noted in my earlier post, the Battery & Coolant Stickers are sometimes the other way around (no rhyme, no reason). Edit: just looked closer at your stickers, the smaller Tyre sticker (I believe) is for a 6 fuse car, and the larger for a 12 fuse car.
  3. Hmmm! Regarding your pics, and assuming you have a '71 6 Fuse car. The Oil Sticker should be at the top LH corner of the hood. The Fuse Sticker should be where the Oil Sticker is (by wiper motor) and half german-half English. The Tyre Sticker should be to the LH side of the Fuse Box (6 Fuse type). There should be a Capacity Sticker above the Emissions Sticker. The Battery Sticker should be turned 90 to match the Coolant Sticker. The positions (front-back) of these two Stickers often changes. This is my best guestimate after going through heaps of pics. I was trying to do an ultimate Sticker position for the various years, but have yet to finish.
  4. Searched the Parts Book and came up with this. Screw B4.2 x 19 part# 07 11 9 902 503 Cover/Cap part# 51 16 1 828 978 However, above part#s have been superceeded by:- 07 11 9 902 468 51 16 1 905 940 Check here (enter part#) for pricing:- http://www.trademotion.com/parts/?action=oePartSearch&siteid=214672&make=&model= Good thing about this part search Site, is, it tells you the superceeded number and not just "part number not found". HTH
  5. Been for sale 3 times in the past 18 months. Copley has had it for 9 months.
  6. Sorry to hear that John. As usual, I can't make it. I'm with Skip...I remember the '09 Vintage when we all sat out back of the Hotel with a few couples from Pittsburgh and a beer or 3 (not to mention the vino calapso). Can't remember how many pizzas we ordered. Happy days.
  7. Would love to Jim, but I'm now in Tianjin, China, for a while. Ray Koke packed up and left for the US when he heard I was coming. hehe.
  8. No, wouldn't do that to you Jim. The parts book is weird, it calls up only 2 of the T-bolts and 15 of the clips, yet, it calls up 17 6,4mm nuts as if all are T-bolts. It's been a long while, but I believe my Touring has all T-bolts and no clips.
  9. Accoding to the BMW Parts Book that I have, all 4 corner bumpers have round holes and the rear centre bumper section has slots. This for '71 & up bumpers with the rubber strips.
  10. The first one I saw was off the Scottish coast (Scotland v USA). Can't find it now, but it's basically the same script.
  11. This has been going around for a few years. The location changes but always includes the Americans. Lighthouse.doc
  12. Here's a couple of places. I have no experience of either. http://www.american-stitches.com/ http://www.aglausa.com/p/home.html
  13. Bob, Many '76 '02s left the factory, roughly in the VIN range 2742000-2745000, 2391500-2392000 & 2379500-2380000, with no VIN plates. I guess they ran out for a while! The sticker placement on my old parts car (in above post) is typical of the placement of these "no VIN plate" cars.
  14. Yes, interesting. Here's the one from my ex-parts car. Car was manuf 9 Apr '76.
  15. That did it; thanks Ray. I guess I thought I was back in the UK.
  16. Well that's just odd. Both my laptops & the desktop show Mon 30. It's been like this for a month or more.
  17. While we're fixing things....anyone know why the post/message dates are a day ahead? (currently showing Monday.....it's Sunday in Texas) Is this my problem or the faq's?
  18. Mine arrived today also. Just wish my Touring looked as good as the shirts. Excellent and thanks for the stickers.
  19. 2708736 was for sale in the Roundel in Jun '97. Seller was in Los Angeles and stated the car had a rebuilt Motor, 5 spd, upgraded suspension and Zender flares.
  20. The LHD Clutch Master Cyl has both ports in line. The RHD one has one port facing up, the other down. I believe the rod end eye fitting is different also.
  21. I dyed front and back tan panels to black for Da Beater. I used Dupli-Color Vinyl & Fabric spray black, from Advance Auto. They still look good after a couple of years. Dying dark blue to black would be easy.
  22. Great! Good luck with the search.
  23. Don't see that the Seller states 50k original miles. Typical that Ebay Sellers and the like just state what shows on the 5 digit speedo and make no mention of how many times it may have rolled over. Pretty obvious that this one's rolled over.
  24. I think you're right that there are some aspects of the interior that let the car down. Missing underdash panels, missing window winder & door handle inserts. These are relatively small $$ parts that make me wonder why they are missing. I'm not a fan of the centre console; if it were made up with the longer console sides that go around the gear shift I think it would look better (to me anyway). As said previously, loose the brown mats. Exterior, underhood and trunk are fine.
