  1. '74-'76 Atlantik exterior cars usually had a Gobi tan interior. Also a Blue interior, but more by far had tan. Prior to '74, the roundie Atlantiks were either Black or Blue. Keep the cloth panels in the seats; very European and cool in the summer and warm in the winter.
  2. Hmmm! It must have been a "one off", or, you need your money back. Auto Euro 2500001-2507130 pre '71 Auto Euro 2507131-2513880 model '71 Auto USA 2530001-2532124 pre '71 Auto USA 2532115-2534861 model '71 Manual USA 2570001-2572069 pre '71 Manual USA 2572070-2593704 model '71 2570460 falls into the Manual USA catagory.
  3. If it was an auto then that was also not original, unless your VIN is/was 253XXXX
  4. Nice wheels, styled like the "late"/Turbo 02 alloys. They have 14" & 15", although the 14" ET is no good. http://fifteen52.us/shop-2/#ecwid:category=664686&mode=product&product=2675162 http://fifteen52.us/shop-2/#ecwid:category=1022265&mode=product&product=4284926
  5. Hi Mike, The info I have collected shows 2572070 as the first model '71, beginning April '71.
  6. You learn something about these cars everyday. All the '75, '76 VIN tags I have seen (inc my cars) have that info missing; like the example pic. Maybe the numbers just get rubbed off?
  7. A couple more Fiat 500 videos http://fwd.channel5.com/fifth-gear/videos/shoot-outs/fifth-gear-shoot-out-mini-v-fiat-500
  8. '74 & up 2002 VINs did not state the weights. However, a '75 Owner's Handbook - US version, that I have states:- Permitted total weight = 3300lbs Permitted axle loads - front = 1660lbs, rear = 1780lbs Service load = 790lbs
  9. Interesting. As others have said, I have never seen/heard of blue tint windows. A few years ago I broke the passenger door window on my blue car. I would have bet money the glass was blue. I finally put in a green tint window, and, lo & behold it matched the others and looked blue. Guess it took on the colour of the car. Edit: how did my pic attach to to the original post????
  10. I have Jan '73 and Mar '75. Email me (button above) with your email and I'll send the scans to you.
  11. If you go back, please get the VIN for my list.
  12. There's one on 2002AD w/site. It has 65k, and stored last 12 yrs, but (I think) no sunroof. They are asking $18k. Scroll down to "Project Cars for Sale" http://www.2002ad.com/pages/carsforsale.cfm
  13. Was sold on Ebay by Bimmerbros (Evan), San Mateo, back in Mar '06. The noted upgrades were done by then. Does not look like a car for (or from) a private collection......unless the private collector collects the sort of 02s I have!
  14. Wish I could make it Mike. Looks like i'll be working in IL. Have fun.
  15. Interesting. That one seems to have done most of a round-the-World trip from UK, Australia, USA. About 7 or 8 years ago, I looked at a mid-30s bright red BSA with sidecar here in San Antonio. The Dealer wanted just over $4000. I offered $3500 but he wouldn't budge a $1. The sidecar had been swapped over to the right side for USA driving and wasn't done too well (hence my offer). I wonder where that one is now. Hope all is well with you Tim. Cheers
  16. Man, that's a shame. Whilst I have no experience with "said" shop, it did seem to have a good rep. Looks like Malaga paint there; is that the original colour?
  17. Looking to see if anyone knows the whereabouts of motor 2364439, for a friend who has the car.
  18. There's a bunch of papers, Bill of Sale etc, on Ebay from a previous Owner that may be of interest to the current Owner. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300604800985&ssPageName=ADME:B:SS:MOTORS:1123
  19. Esty, Here's a few pics of different Turbos with (I think) original carpets. They all look to be grey-black (salt-pepper).
  20. For some reason your link to the "maxi" site doesn't work for me. However, a total of 14,256 1600/1602s and, an unknown (to me) number of 2002s were assembled at ETS Moorkens, Kontich, Belgium, between 1966 & 1972. They were delivered as CDK and assembled at Moorkens in order to avoid import tax into Belgium on fully assembled cars. 174XXXX were 2002s, and 175XXXX & 176XXXX VINs were 1600-2/1602s.
