  1. My old Touring parts car had them. They look better on "late" cars with the wider centre grill (IMHO).
  2. Try here for more realistic pricing. http://www.bmwmobiletradition-online.com/bmw/
  3. Don't know what those grills were made for, but the shape where they meet the wing (fender) it not correct for an '02, more like a 3.0S/CS.
  4. Looks like the grills came off a 3.0s/3.0 CS car. Modified to suit 7" and 5.5" lights
  5. Here you go. http://www.bmw2002faq.com/component/option,com_forum/Itemid,50/page,viewtopic/t,353706/highlight,/ HTH
  6. You may want to reconsider. Less than a 1000 Touring Autos were made, and, you may well have the only one in the US. Email me your VIN (use email button above) and I'll add you to my list of Touring owners.
  7. Exactly. That's what BMW recommended in the 1602/2002 Glovebox Handbook all those years ago.
  8. This car sold on Ebay in January for $17k, and, it had 101k miles then. Up'd the price & reduced the mileage.
  9. Tobacco ended when the "74s cames out. Then you had Gobi Tan. Not sure when Tobacco started as there was another similar colour for the early cars.
  10. It's a lighting upgrade Ray. Surprised no one else hasn't thought of it. (hehe)
  11. Hi Ray, I believe the switch over to 12 fuse began with the introduction of the "model 71" in Apr '71. Long sided rear bumpers etc. 2572070 should have been the first 12 fuse.
  12. Wish Borbet had been there in the '70s; I would have put a set on the '02. I had to make do with Borranis!!!
  13. No problems Joe. I bought my first 2002 in Burghausen (no too far from you) in 1973. I was working in the aluminium plant in Ranshofen, Austria. Nice Touring by the way.
  14. Yes, home made. Could be in place of the bracket that hold the top of the centre grill? Item 5 in the little pic.
  15. I'm a no voter too; I like both. I believe if the square light cars had arrived in the US with the chrome bumpers (& no rear over-riders) there would be no contest.
  16. A bit high! (hehe) I agree, you have to shop around to avoid being screwed
  17. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/New-BMW-1602-2002-Upper-Center-Hood-Seal-1966-77-ti-tii-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem2ea0056a25QQitemZ200253205029QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories $60 for a $25 part! 51 23 5 480 191 (item 18)
  18. Oops, sorry. I thought it was the new cardboard part that was different. Not sure what you can do. Maybe send the vinyl back where you got it from and ask for some that fits?
  19. If you still have your original door panel, lay it over the new one and line up the holes. This will show you if you need to trim the new one at the top or bottom (or both).
  20. Odd that someone would change out a manual box for an auto.
  21. Interesting. The screwed on VIN plate came from a manual car (not Auto). A '69 Auto would have VIN 253XXXX. What is stamped on the passenger inner fender near the windshield?
  22. If he owns "Strictly German", then he was the Ebay buyer in Nov '07.
