  1. And Tischer BMW http://getbmwparts.com $33.79 each (quotes MSRP as $42.24 ea)
  2. IRRC, the BMW guibo nuts are a type of locknut (the threaded hole is slightly oval). As they are part of the driveline, I would certainly recommend putting new ones on.

  4. 0 bids from were i’m looking at it. 17k was the Seller’s start price.
  5. Back at the scene of the crime! It started its Ebay life in St. Louis in Dec 06, as a dinged rust bucket. It didn’t sell so it was “restored“ and put back on Ebay Nov 07. Then it appeared in Rockville, MD from Jan to Sep 08 and then on to Teterboro, NJ sep 10, and now back in St. Louis. All the ebay sellers were Dealers. Nice to see the red/white reflective strip under the rear bumper has finally been removed. PS the first ebay listing in 2006 stated it had 111k
  6. Neat. Good luck with the refurb. Great set of wheels. Do have another 3 sets like that?
  7. This might help sell them. http://local.yahoo.com/info-67031448-jra-restoration-and-fabrication-snohomish
  8. great...for $10.00 ship'd, i'll take that one too... got more? Not much fun here in India, but you made my day with that Esty. Many thanks.
  9. Assuming you are talking about your 2002, then it would have come from the factory with a hazard switch wired to the lights. Take a look around the console area for wires connected to a round terminal.
  10. Here’s pics of two that I have. If it looks like these, then it is probably the original A/C fan.
  11. We’re almost there Mike. 61 31 1 353 632 and 61 31 1 357 458 are the two listed for France & Italy. They are probably wired for the Countries needs - ie Reverse quickly for France (& maybe Italy?) and also to the horn for Italy. hehe. 61 31 1 357 000 is for Euro, and as you say, probably for the side/parking light feature. Not sure why it’s not noted for the 74 & up tii though. 61 31 8 648 007 I believe is the early one up to modell 71.
  12. The parts book shows: 61 31 1 356 609 for USA 02 and tii model 74 and on. 61 31 1 357 000 for Euro models (not tii) 74 and on 61 31 1 352 949 for most Euro & all USA models up to 73
  13. F4-P30-0025-H1 was the old number, it as been changed to 34-000250. Yes, they are sports.
  14. Maybe try one from a RHD car (if they are still available?); it as to be a longer route than a LHD car.
  15. I agree. Not sure why he didn’t use the matching console. May have needed a little cut & carve but would have looked better than using the 02 console (perhaps another colour than yellow too).
  16. Seller has been trying to pass it on for almost a year now. He wanted $5000-$6000. Get rid of those God awful rims, put the small parts on that are missing and lower the price to $2500 and it might sell. JMHO
  17. This one was put into a Touring. Not the greatest pic i’m afraid. I believe it sticks out into the door opening a little.
  18. According to an ad in the Roundel for sale section in 96, this Florida car was in NC. It also had a rebuilt Korman st3 motor and 2 x Webers. It still had the Webers, at least, when it was on Ebay last year February.
  19. The goal in updating this well preserved original 2002 car was to take it back to the original Golf Yellow sunroof 1972 2002 with a few improvements. Hmmm, it was White when he bought it 18 months ago!
  20. Called Blue......because they are in Blue binders.
  21. Mine fits quite nicely in my Touring storage bin. It’s the one with the red edging! Admittedly, when I’m on a long journey I have a larger plastic tool box but the Touring carpet stops it from moving.......along with the suitcase etc. However, in 26 years of ownership, the Touring has never let me down so the tool wrap is gathering dust.
  22. 02s did have electric roofs from the factory. However, that motor looks more like an E9/Bavaria door electric window motor.
  23. Hmmm. Wonder how much my orig Enkies are worth now? They are a bugger to clean. Great for a show only car, but not if you drive it regularly (unless you like cleaning with q-tips of course).
