  1. Nick, Get a 5-speed decal from Keith Kreeger - it goes over and hides the 4-speed one.
  2. 1557182 was 4 sale in the Mar '84 Roundel. It was stated as being Red then!?
  3. Here's some pics of Euro Buckets/Lights. Be aware that there are several varietys; more so than just Hella & Bosch. Both made more than one style. I know of 3 different headlight units (the way they attach to the buckets), not to mention different style glass/lens. If the lights your getting are complete (bucket & headlight) you should be good to go.
  4. Totally agree Esty. Draco02 has half the page.
  5. No, we pee on the Italian's Risotto (hehe).
  6. Appeared on Ebay Dec '06 as pretty much a rust-bucket needing full resto. It was in St. Louis, MO, and the Seller quoted it had 111k miles. It was then "restored" and painted and put on Ebay again for a "buy it now" of $13k and a stated mileage of 76k. It appeared next on Ebay from May to Sep '08 being sold by Flemings Ultimate Garage, Rockville, MD for "but it now" $17k to $19k. The current Seller states original paint, no accidents, no known bodywork. Either he knows nothing about the car or he is being economical with the truth. Be very carefull.
  7. I do like the way the Germans/British tend to start their auctions at next to nothing with no reserve, and see what happens. Rare to see that over here.
  8. Some history and info per the Sellers. 2762218 Dec '91 - Roundel Seller, Norwalk, CT - 1k on factory rblt mtr Apr '95 - Roundel Seller, Bridgeport area, CT - in resto, 0 miles on fact rblt mtr Jun '08 - Ebay Seller, Shelton, CT - "ground up resto" Aug '10 - Ebay Seller, Shelton, CT - resto in Aug '09 Assume Aug '10 Ebay Seller is the same Craigslist Seller. HTH
  9. Where did you find a hill on a freeway here? (lol) I have a shroud kicking around somewhere, although not sure it will fit an E21 radiator. If you want it email me. lescartwright at juno.com
  10. True. Maybe they should be Touring alloys as they were part of the Touring Sport Paket offered for Tourings in '71.
  11. Actually, North Wales - not in England.
  12. Great! Who needs Nascar?
  13. Tiger75...you need to show your trunk. He's got EVERYTHING you need for a breakdown on the road...plus beer. +1 - Tim's a true low rider The pic taken by me following Tim through San Antonio on our way to last year's Texas Vintage in the Vinyards.
  14. Great day (apart from the humidity - phew!). Good to finally meet up with you all.
  15. Paul, I have it noted as being owned by Andy S. in May '05. I believe the 2002 Registry has (or had) it noted as Atlantik colour and living in TN in 2007. Not sure if Atlantik was available in '67 but that's what was listed in the Registry. Edit: Paul I cannot gaurantee the authenticity; I only copy what the poster/ebay/2002 Registry/etc puts down.
  16. Paul, 1561921 = late '67 build 1600-2. I believe the car was once owned by Andy Stuckey.
  17. Not to mention the return airticket - must be picked up (no shipping).
  18. Somebody won it. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190413472601&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT
  19. Most of the pics on this current Ebay post are the same pics used by Select Classics on their Ebay posting back in 2008 (on ebay from Jun thru' Dec '08). Other pics are from an Ebay post in Apr '09 by Ebayer "cycleexchange" in Andover, NJ. I wonder why they couldn't take a few current (new) pics!
  20. Consensus of opinion is that the 6-hole Guibo has a longer life than the 8-hole. So, if you have your driveshaft modified with the 3-hole flange part, make sure you get the overall length using the different thickness 6-hole Guibo (as mentioned in the post above).
  21. Too true Andy. It's the 3rd time I've seen it for sale, and it more than doubles in price each time. It was for sale for $650 3 yrs ago!
  22. Could be a cheap(er) way of refreshing the trapezoidal '02 mirrors. The body looks the same to me.
  23. Have full history for my Touring. The maintenance supplement mileage has been kept up to date. But I do agree that probably most of the quoted mileages on the Ebay cars are way off.
  24. Bought my Touring in '86 with 73k on it. It now has 115k, but did sit idle in my old garage in the UK from '90 to 2000 when I shipped it over here. Reached 100k in May '03, so in 7 yrs we've covered 15k, including a 3k roundtrip to Vegas, and another 3k roundtrip to V@V last year.
