  1. I'm assuming you have a '74-'76 2002. If you're buying new ($$$$$). You can get a Euro '74-'76 Nose Panel. Whether you get an early or late Euro panel, you will still have the wrong bumper openings for the US big bumpers. Good time to switch to the Euro chrome bumpers.
  2. It was on Ebay back in March. The "start off" price was $6500. Result = no bids.
  3. With the Euro going south, I'm sure prices will follow suit........ahem! I'm the eternal optimist.
  4. Not mine, no affil, etc. Too expensive for me. http://sanantonio.craigslist.org/cto/1766757403.html
  5. Congrats. It's come a long way from Scottie Sharpe's back yard.
  6. Congratulations. We told you so!
  7. From the '76 Owner's Handbook (orange book). If the ignition key is turned to "0" or "Halt" while the headlights are on, the headlights will be switched off and only the parking lights will stay on. From the '76 Owner's Handbook (white US version) If the ignition key is turned to positions "0" or "Halt" while the headlights are on, they will go out and only the side lights will remain illuminated. HTH
  8. Hi Ray, All 1600 Cabs were Euro models & not officially imported to the US. Looking at the seams, it appears new fenders, or nose panel (or both?) were fitted at some time. The bubble indicators were also available ('71 on) in Europe as part of the Sport Paket for the Tourings, so maybe they were fitted during a resto in Europe. The Euro bubble indicators only had the one bulb (side light was in the headlight). Have fun at V@V - wish I could be there.
  9. No, Andy's VIN was around 400 earlier.
  10. I have a spare set. Will not be cheap though. I do agree partly with Bill; however, I think there is a wealth of knowledge within them. Haynes does give some alternative methods and is useful when used alongside the Blue Books. You can contact me via the email button above.
  11. Wish we could John. We had such a great time last year. The Beater, Touring and Yvonne's ready............it's just me!
  12. With the help of the best neighbours I could wish, I now have 5 x '76s at the Ponderosa. Came with blown motor, spare (supposedly good?) motor and a real decent body. Also a heap of historical receipts incl the original delivery receipt. Delivered to Borough Imports, Charlotte, NC and sold to a gentleman from Chapel Hill, NC in Oct '76. I just need to get back on my feet so I can mess with it!
  13. Only one choice my friend. Yvonne and I took the Touring and Beater from San Antonio to NC to last years V@V, and, if I were not nursing a fractured leg, we would have made the MidAmerica (AR) last month. Nice to know someone else is in/near San Antonio.
  14. A 2002Touring has two grills on each c-pillar.
  15. The car has been on Ebay a couple times and was here on the faq board too a couple of months ago. It had a pushed in front then; that has now (apparently) been repaired.
  16. Bueller... Bueller... Check the original posting above. It has been edited - SOLVED.
  17. This is what I have on your car. For sale Aug '83 by 2nd Owner Stephen Maynard, Durango, CO. on Ebay Jun '05 in Mentone, AL. at Oct '05 owned by your good self (then in TN). Car was imported by BMW, RI. Turned into a race car at Max Hoffman's request. Stored at the dealership from '69 to '77. (Can't remember where I got this info from now, and cannot guarantee its accuracy.) HTH
  18. Bet it would fit in the Touring Bill. Hehe.

Yeah, why not. See if you can pick the same day as Draco02, jparra00 & dukepol do their reposts. That should fill up page 1 (hehe). There's humour in anything.

I'm not... Esty, how many carpet threads do you have posted? Every time you get a new color or kit together you post it as a new F/S item. I don't see that as being any different than what you are bashing the OP for. The original complaint (couple of days ago) started due a "Seller" posting 17 individual posts. Page 1 (on my screen anyway) has 38 posts (38th is relegated to page 2 with one more post). A few of us thought this was inconsiderate. Esty may have posted 20 times, but not all in the same day. There's a difference. I check the for sale ads every 2 or 3 days (never know what you need until it is advertised!), so I wonder what I may have missed.
  21. It was Bentonville, AR (the Hotel anyway). Can't remember the year exactly; has to be at least 5 yrs ago. Maybe I'll be able to make the 'True Friends" later this year?
  22. The last True Friends Event (another of Bo's) that I made about 5 yrs ago, my Touring's exhaust came apart on the way home. I soldiered on to home and bandaged it. It's been on ever since, including last yrs V@V event (2600 miles). I'm realising the bandage is better than the real exhaust steel! Glad you had a good time Paul.
  23. My pic shows the screws required. According to my parts book the part# is 07 11 9 902 503 (unfortuntely NLA). Description is B4,2 x 19 and total 4 required.
