That one on the Colorado orange car is for European compliance and has nothing to do with the chassis designation.

I think originally, these Euro stickers noted the E#. It's difficult to see, but in Jim's pic of the Colorado car, you can just about make out "typ E114" along the top of the sticker. The replacement stickers available today have "2002" or "2002 Cabrio" etc and no E# type. Don't know if the '74-'76 Euros had "typ E10" on their original stickers. I'll have to look through my saved pictures.
