  1. I'll lay it out in the sun; supposed to get up near 70 tomorrow!
  2. Hmmm! Is it different on a non-sunroof car Esty? My sunroofed parts car had the headliner glued & clipped to the rear window opening. Should have your carpet in my Blue '02 by weeks' end. I finally got around to it.
  3. Not just US '02s, but all '02s including Euros.
  4. The Beater has them. Lowered & stiff and no rubbing issues. They are a bugger to keep clean though.
  5. According to the parts books, heat shields are used on ti, tii, Turbo and USA '02s. So if you have a Euro carb'd '02, you don't need one. Probably why my '74 Touring doesn't have one.
  6. Remember the manufacturer. Google Bandai or Entex BMW Turbo.
  7. The only DIY plastic kit I have ever seen is of an '02 Turbo. It comes up on Ebay once in a blue moon. The scale is 1:20 (I think). Don't believe anyone makes a kit now; any that you see will be years old & could be missing parts (if they have been opened).
  8. Merry Christmas John, and to Jen & Anna. Les & Yvonne
  9. VIN quoted is incorrect. 2593704 was the last number for the 259xxxx series. Oh, and I like the car. Too much $$$, but I like it. In the '70s, in Europe, blacking out the chrome trim was the thing to do; probably why several marques in the late 70's came from the factory that way.
  10. 68f here in San Antone. Had to open the garage doors & let the heat out (he-he).
  11. I remember the guy buying the Red '02 for less than 2k. Put the white stripes on, and has been trying to get 7k for it. Nice little earner if it had sold.
  12. If you enter that part # in at Bell BMW, they have them (supposedly) at $139 ea. Max's site shows them as NLA.
  13. Bloody hell Skip. Looks better than my house. Whatever happened to your Nevada '02?
  14. Same pics, same Seller. I don't think it made its reserve on Ebay last month. Edit: my mistake, it supposedly sold for $5000 on Ebay. Hmmm!
  15. there's a very small screw in the passenger side end, at the base that is removed to take the cover off, then the base attaches to the dash with 2 small screws Ah-ha. Maybe that's why mine ended up in the trash (lol). I have to remember these things.
  16. I removed one out of my parts car, but it's been a while. As I remember, the cover prises off, exposing the fixings.
  17. also: www.webercarbsdirect.com/32_36_DFAV_EV_Repair_kits_and_Parts_s/51.htm
  18. Email sent re driver underdash piece.
  19. To do the 2nd refurbishment on my Touring. It deserves to look like it once did.
  20. Apparently...........yes. All my '76 models have wimpy control arms compared to what came off my '74 Touring. '76 version is on the right in the 1st pic, and bottom in the 2nd pic.
  21. I got the refund from paypal a few weeks ago. Last week, out of the blue, the parts arrived. They were mailed after I was refunded. I'm out of town currently, but I'll re-imburse him/her (Ebay seller) when I get back next week.
  22. Well heck, I never looked at the tolerances. Their huge. I thought it would be more like +/- 2mm. If you set the Tie-rods at 271 the wheels would be pointed at each other!
